Thankful For The Gift Of Repentance

I seem to be better at writing things down than just speaking into the air.

I was losing touch with you. All my own fault, Yet here you are giving me another chance to come home. All you are asking is that I come alone leaving my baggage behind. You see the weight of it bowing me down. You see the tired look in my soul.

I see the look of love in Your eyes. Here in this place called Grace, that You’ve made for me- knowing it would remind me of You. I want to come home. I want to live with You. I’ve had enough of the outside of life. I want to come home to stay. To be in Your way.

But I need You to help me more, to take this burden from me. To bear it Yourself before my eyes at Calvary. I am Jacob wanting to be called Israel, Peter wanting to feed your lambs, The thief on the cross trusting You to remember me, the soldier nailing your hands and your feet, the ungrateful leper, all of these and one more-

I’m your beloved, your daughter, your sinner, your bride. And I want to come home. I want to come home. Lord, here I am.

Hope you enjoyed this little write.
