Everywhere we look God’s creation testifies of Him.
As Many in the world prepare to view the event in the skies today, I can’t help but wonder how many will hear in their spirit, the voice of testimony creation is declaring. When I was younger, I witnessed a total solar eclipse. I remember my curiosity being disappointed because where I lived was not in the path of totality so I could only witness a partial eclipse.
Now years have passed since then and I can appreciate beyond my curiosity, the incredible voice of creation as it speaks of truths we may overlook. When I think about the eclipse I think about how even a total eclipse can not wipe out all the light. It is smaller than the sun so we have the glossy glow of the sun’s corona that still shines. In my mind, I see the moon as a distraction; a strategy to block out the sun. Isn’t Satan like that? And like the moon, he is smaller than Christ Jesus!
Still, he does all he can to blot out the Testimony of God. And consider where you may be in your experience of life. Are you walking in the light, or are you closer to the path of totality? Is your spiritual vision partially eclipsed? Perhaps even totally? What distractions is he using to draw you into the path of totally? Curiosity? Boredom? Pain or suffering? Something, else maybe? But the Holy Spirit like the glow of the corona will always speak of Him if we want to hear. He cries out that He is still here in your darkness. Will you trust Him? As you do, you will see the light again.
Jesus is coming back for His bride. The whole earth groans in anticipation in Romans 8:22. And we, ourselves long for His return.
When you feel dry and details pull at you from every side. When your spiritual vision is obscured, if the Scripture seems lifeless to you; let creation speak to you of His love, His purpose, and plan. If you really want to hear, there is always a testimony. Let the gentle whisper or the overt power of God’s creation speak a capacity into your weary soul for the truth that will shower you with light!
I would love to know if you are encouraged by these words. Please leave a comment about it or any of my writings. I look forward to hearing from you.
